From the last two pages, it seems as if this thread has drifted off topic. (In hand) So lets start this up again shall we?

Aether, I'm sorry to say but you didn't make a virus OR a plan.

Here's a simple formula for both:
Plan:
-List of what you have and what you'll carry it in
-Point A
-Transportation
-Point B
-How'll you'll get there, and why it will allow you to survive for teh rest of your days.

This thread keeps being pushed onto the second page. I see, many people don't swing much now'a days?

Scenario
===========

You are trapped in an apartment complex. Your room is on the seventh floor. Your pretty high off the ground. But you can hear them coming, trying to bang on doors in the floors below. Many people on the seventh floor are safe, alongside you for the time being. The zombies have still not made it up, but nothing is to sure. There are some who want to make sure they don't get up to the seventh floor. But most think hiding in their rooms is safer. They lock all doors and refuse to come outside.

Characters
===========

Bill: Bill is a bull of a man, and carries a 9MM pistol with him. He has two ammo clips not counting the three in his pocket and one in the gun. Though it's been ages since he last went out on the range. Sure enough, he's the only one that knows enough on how to shoot a head shot.

Carl: Carl is one of the last people to escape the second floor. How he made it, is of mystery, but he sure as hell did make it. He brought with him a bat, none the less a wooden one that has a few cracks in it. He also has a liter, and a few smokes.

Cliff: Cliff is the local fireman. He has great strength and knowledge of the apartment complex, since it's his job to check for any faults within the apartments. He has an Axe, and a metal crowbar. Food is stored in his house, but what's special is that the food he has stored is canned food. (Most of it anyway) He also has fuel stored in his apartment.

Emily: She, is only eleven years old. Her parents are nowhere to be seen. She last saw them, getting them ready for the swimming pool, down on the first floor. But that's the last she heard from them. She managed to run back to her room as soon as the trouble started. She has with her a lolipop.....

What will you do?

*Remember, you all have apartments on the seventh floor, except for Carl. Only one of you knows how to shoot a gun with proper aim, and only one of you has that gun. The rest are armed with mêlée weapons. You cannot get out of the building through the stairs below. For they are under attack. How will you keep them (Zombies) at bay?

Can someone give me a lowdown on the last 30 pages?

I assume I have furniture, right?

   There is not much we can do. Overall it's a pretty helpless situation. I would start by having Cliff blast the apartment complex with the opening riff in For Whom the Bell Tolls-- oh, wrong Cliff. Anyway, I would have Cliff chop up some furniture, being careful not to damage the nails. Those will be of use later. Second, I would deal with Emily. She serves no viable purpose right now. She is naught but excess luggage, something that would not be anywhere close to helpful. While this would probably not be good for my sanity, or my mental stability, what has to be done, no matter what.
   Next, once Cliff is done hacking up enough furniture to make a painful wall of spikes, but still quite strong, and making sure not to damage too many nails, I have us four build said barricade. Once that is done, we have Cliff, Carl and Bill take turns keeping watch, and I'll cook.
   That is all we can do. The end is near, so we spend the rest of the time playing cards, keeping watch, eating, and waiting to become chow.

Oh I apologize for my post then.

Wow, that is not what I had in mind. (In a good way, I'm glad you used your head and brought about what it was)

I agree that it is mostly a hopeless situation. Where as, I didn't to beef up much of the survival for the group at hand. Since, this is more so what many would come across if it were a true Zombie Apocalypse.

Now, I understand why you did, what you did to Emily. As in she provided nothing but extra weight and held the survival of the group back by a lot in a sense. But I am sure, a lot of this could effect your sanity in the long run. Then again, being stuck in an apartment knowing that anytime the barricade could break, is torture enough.

About the wall of spikes. What purpose other then somewhat of a slow down does it serve? After all, unless those nails were to spike through the head, the zombies would not be effected much no?

Overall, I'd rate this of scale of 10 a 7.8. (Not a low mark, it's more so a realistic plan and that's what I like about it. It stays true to being realistic and you don't go Rambo like some who say they would. Oh yeah, plus a point for the Metallica joke. ;)

The wall of wooden spikes would more than likely keep them at bay by giving them splinters. In the long run, these splinters would cause some pretty bad infections.

Not to mention they will probably come at us with quite a bit of force, causing them to be impaled.

Oh yeah, plus a point for the Metallica joke. ;)
