This topic tends to consist of mostly conservative -vs- liberal arguments, but I'd like to see what AG thinks. National Government funded Health care or no. My personally response is no.

National Government funded Health care or no.
Do you mean should it fund Health care?
OF COURSE.
My personally response is no.
You mean My personal response* :P
I like the system that Canada has in place and I think we should use their plan. There are too many people in this world that die because they can't afford healthcare.
No way.
The government should not pay for peoples health care. This is a capitalist nation, if people can't afford to support themselves, they should pick out a nice piece of cardboard and a busy street corner.
Could you be more specific about Canada's plan as I'm unfamiliar with it and am too lazy to look it up?
Also, sorry about the typo.
Anyways, I don't think the government should have to pay for National Health care because it isn't the government's fault. If you want to be able to pay for your medical needs, then Health Care is a personal decision. Each taxpayer should be able to choose to buy insurance or not. I doubt that many people die because they couldn't afford Healthcare, and why they couldn't afford it, I don't know. Government funded Healthcare would come out of taxpayers dollars, including those who think that they won't get hurt and won't be able to pay for it. It insurance is a service, just like house cleaning. You can clean the house yourself, or you can hire someone to do it. In America, if you're taken to an emergency room or hospital in a life-threatening condition, then the medical workers there are required to do all in their power to save the person, citizen or no. By that, should there be any reason that people would die because of no healthcare? If you couldn't reach a hospital in time, Health care wouldn't have helped.

They do, they can't afford it because there in a bad situation. Because free will does not exist, and some just turn out in good spots and not the others.
The whole point of the government is to take care of the people's needs. No, not just to make the economy run so we can live. Its job is to ensure our happiness.
What else is the point of its existence?

The tax money go to the government to ensure the nation's needs.
We are forced to buy insurance for our cars...even if we don't get to use it.
Btw, the ambulance costs $1000 just for a 10 minute fun ride in it.
I strongly believe in National Healthcare. In my state, healthcare has become mandatory, which I support, though there still is not enough help given to people to allow for this to be reasonable. I am getting towards the point where I am going to graduate college, and will not be on my parent's insurance anymore, and that really scares me. Also, my fiance, who had a double transplant a few years ago and has medications he will be on the rest of his life, is going to lose his insurance soon as well, and since his job won't put him on full time, we're not sure what we are going to do.
Basically, mainly because of the situation I am in, I would love to pay a bit more in taxes (maybe not just a bit, but still) to not have to lose sleep over wondering how to pay for my next physical, or the hundreds of dollars in prescriptions we have to deal with..
I don't honestly know that the Political Barriers are different on this topic.
But sure, National Healthcare should be implemented only with stern enforced rules, such as the ability to carry a safe job for 4 months or to make your part in paying it in taxes. I would be considered a liberal.
Possibly a more melting pot point of view, but it'd be very scary if that enforced and un-paid what would happen in the US's economy at the current state, We'd need to end the war, and the monetary support of drilling for this. Our economy is a war economy, not a safety net yet.
NO! That is the persons job. The pursuit of happiness. No where in the constitution does it say "Give people health care". The government is to protect us if necessary. In Canada they can do the health-care stuff. They are a low populace nation compared to the U.S.A.
25 years ago a socialist president (Obama) would be kicked out on his a$$. That is a bad idea for a thriving country. They would have to tax people like 99.8% of their income if we want social medicine.
Hell with the constitution.

Social medicine?
The government is to protect us if necessary.
When people are dying, wouldn't it be considered protection to help them out?
They are dying because they are to lazy to get off their buts and work and expect the government to take every little aspect of their lives. This is the start of a communist nation.
Hell with the constitution.
If that's how you think you should go live in a 3rd world country. Thats what we'd be without a constitution.
Haha. You go live in a 3rd world country and you get off your butt and make your efforts and make it into a strong and big powerful nation!
Cmon, everyones doing it!
