Well, if you ask me about it, I would say that the best thing about making games is having people complement you and the game and that boosts your self-confidence.

I agree with firetail. If I posted a game, and it freed many people from the icy-cold death-grip of boredom, that'd probably be the best thing of all.

Also, having a game working that you know you yourself made from scratch is a cool feeling, too. (Like, when it's finnnallly done! : ) )

And I don't think this is spam, the question is as specific as it needs to be!

The best part of making a game would probably be getting all the nice comments about how people love it. But I wouldn't know, I've never made one.

btw, sponsorship = $1500-7000, or more if you demand and they're willing! This is such a great site!
