I am posting this thread because my phone got wet about a week ago at a pool party. My friends all told me to take the battery out and just wait 3-5 days. It still didn't work yesterday but my co-worker told me to put the battery and phone each in bowls of dry rice. Today, my cell phone works perfectly! So, here is a "walkthrough" on how to fix a wet phone...

1) Get it out of the water. (Simple enough, eh?)
2) Remove the battery as soon as possible.
3) Let it dry out 1-2 days just on a table.
4) Now put the battery and the phone in bowls of dry rice. DO NOT COOK THE RICE BEFOREHAND
5) Wait 1-3 days and then try the phone.

If you experience problems, don't worry. You just have to put it in the rice for another day probably. The key with rice is because it absorbs the water from inside the phone and battery. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I think this is better then paying a lot of money to fix it. I don't guarantee this method will work but it works around 90% of the time. Nearly everyone gets their phone wet at least once.
