Well it depends how you use the internet it can't always be good or bad

This is a very good debate. You can look at it two ways.

1) The internet is very good. It really makes the world small and easy to connect to others. It is a whole other world all in itself where you make yourself who you want to be. It is a great source for education material. There are ways to meet the man/woman of your dreams. It is great for relaxation purposes.

2) The internet is horrible. Kids are watching more porn which is leading to a rise in sexual activity at earlier ages. The internet increases pedophilia and rape due to sites like myspace. Don't blame it on the kids because child molesters can find out where they live easily, thanks to the internet. There are too many problems the internet causes.

I think that we should compromise. Don't entirely get rid of the internet but get rid of sites like myspace. Better yet, get rid of all sites that are uneducational. Games sites like this should not have the account ability installed. This means you just come to this site for games and nothing else. TV becomes a part of this as well but different restrictions.

The internet is not much. Its just something that came up of the rapid technological advances.

The world would not not be any worse without it.

It is a good thing overall, because the rapid spread of information has greatly effected our world. I admit it, with this rapid spread has come the rapid spread of the porn industry, but that's happened with all new mediums of communication.

If we get a good educated society, the internet would own! But know with all these idiots around, the only thing spreading is stupidity.

Well if you search up on Google 70% of the sites on the internet are porn

and MySpace is the worst networking site there is there's so many people and kids kill them self's and thousands of pedophiles

Well, Myspace and stuff sucks. Pornographic lives on Google so that sucks. Theirs always crappy links. That sucks. Only a handfull is good.

Google is good to search for porno lol

also you get your free viruses on your computer that's what makes the internet very bad to use

2)viruses

i wish to point out also that kids do not started of watchign porn and such uneducational stuffs from their friends but from the internet which in turn "educate" them on such things then they spread their "knowledge" to their friends.

internet itself is a double edged sword,you can use the internet for a good cause e.g searching for relevant things for your research and such.

like fire,the internet is a good servant but a bad master.
childrens using the internet need not search for porn materials as pop-ups often occur.this may have triggered children's curiosity and they will further explore on such obsene materials.

viruses is also a problem,but this can be easily countered as you can just install anti virus programme and for pop-ups,you can use programmes such as MacAfee.

the current and most bothering issue now in my opinion is childrens do not know all these things!

they do not know how to install these programmes and are eaisly influenced by their friends.

Well the bad part is when a child watches porn. And receives a virus and gets a huge problem.

Porn and viruses are not too much of a problem. The internet does not really do much for us. Our lives are not any happier with it.

how bout we discuss the good points about the internet?
