In lack of better, spread the mazzelhs! It's the good old 'tell your friends' kind of thing. :)
Btw. I was playing with Spore Creature Creator a while ago. How could I NOT try to make a mazzelh?
That looks all weird. I couldn't add the tail, because due to all the "fur" the complexity bar had gone through the roof.
Tried to catch it 'in motion'. Headbutt, anyone?
This last one actually shows off their head/ears anatomy quite well:
Did miss the tail, it's too big, and it should have been a herbivore, but besides that!

The drawing on  this page reminds me of the floating Isle of Doukutsu Monogatari. Surely you've played that, Zophia?
The anthro mazzelh kind was recently updated to be more of a blend between human critters and mazzelhs, rather than just mazzelhs shaped as humans (this mainly effect the reproductive processes (I seem to care a lot about that part in all my species <.<)

You smirky thing you! X) Is true, though, I find the whole mating ritual thing interesting to plot out, because in many species the - flirting seems senseless. And the rest, well. 'T is fun. :)

You say you don't have a storyline for the creatures.I can think of at least two different ones,maybe even more,but I don't know if you would like that.I am always up to making up stories though.
