Sorry for that last post. I didnt know you guys wanted to know how to use the weapons. I thought you could do that yourselfs. XP Anyway, this weapon guide is a little more thought out.

I'm Going To list all the weapons I found from least effective to best and tell a little bit about each one. (I dont count the Chain Saw as a gun) And most if not all of the guns listed here are found in buildings with a little gun symbol pointing to it on your city map. Though the chainsaw is found at either quickstop or park storage in the starting city.

Chain Saw- Found-Start Ammo-50
Pros-Fast Kill, High Ammo Capacity,
Cons-Long Reload Time, Short Range
Best used when-There is a large group of zombies over running your barricade. (It accually saved my life when my barricade broke, I was able to just mow them down)

Pistol- Found-Start Ammo-17
Pros-Fast Reload Time,
Cons-Low Damage
Best used when-You don't have anything else to use. This is a starter weapon and not intended to be used a whole lot.

Revolver- Found-Start Ammo-6
Pros-High Damage
Cons-Small Ammo capacity, long reload time
Best Used When-You prefer power over the speed of the pistol. I went with the pistol and the chainsaw untill I found the MP5

Composite Bow- Found-Whistler's Grove Ammo-1
Pros-High Damage, Very fast reload time
Cons-Small ammo capacity
Best Used When-There is a large, slow horde of zombies on the screen. If you've seen Lord of the Rings, the fires as fast as Legolas does in the movie. It kill easily if you get head shots, but it just can't match the rapid gun-fire.

MP5- Found-Claysburg Ammo-25
Pros-Rapid Fire, Fast Reload Time
Cons-Low Damage and Accuracy
Best Used When-You don't have any other assault rifles. It's used well when you just fire blindly into the crowd. I ended up giving it to one of the survivors.

Hunting Rifle- Found-Aspinwood Ammo-1
Pros-Very High Damage, Very Good accuracy, high powered shot
Cons-Very low Ammo capacity, slow reload time
Best Used When-There is a group of zombies lined up. The bullets are capable of passing through one zombie and hitting a second. I normaly just give the hunting rifle to the guy on the second-to-bottem spot since a high-powered weapon does some serous damage there.

Uzi- Found-Claysburg Ammo-50
Pros-High Ammo capacity, High Damage, Rapid Fire
Cons-
Best Used When-There is a mob of zombies in the middle of the screen, just fire blind and it'll do a good job of wiping out everything on the screen.

M4A1- Found-Jonestown Ammo-30
Pros-High Damage, Rapid Fire
Cons-
Best Used When-You favor power over speed and capacity. It's a pretty lose tie with the M4A1 and the Uzi. But both do a good job of clearing the zombies out.

AK-47- Found -Jonestown Ammo-30
Pros-High Damage, Rapid Fire, Fast Reload Time
Cons-
Best Used When-It Is the best gun short of the chain gun.

Grenades- Found-Jonestown Ammo-1
Pros-Splash Damage, High Damage
Cons-Low Accuracy
Best Used When-There is a large group of zombies clumped together. This weapon may take a moment to get used to, but when you do you won't relly need a gun anymore.

Chain-Gun- Found-Fort Tran Ammo-200
Pros-Very High Ammo capacity, high damage, rapid fire
Cons-slow reload time
Best Used When- Let rip with this baby and Bye-Bye zombie infestation.
RPG- Found-Fort Tran Ammo-1
Pros-Very High Damage, Splash Damage
Cons-Slow Reload Time
Best Used When-This is basicly an upgraded version of the grenade. Very powerful weapon with exelent destructive capabilties.

Also...
Traps are best used if your barricade is at low health, or you know that you won't survive without a little help.

Bear Trap-Holds zombie in place
best place in the middle of the screen

Gas Cylinder-Explodes When Shot
best placed in the way left side of the screen

Mine-Explodes Upon Contact
best placed near the barricade

Hints and Tips...

If you see a zombie with a weapon, TAKE HIM DOWN!!!
Not only do they do double damage to you barricade, but they can kill your survivors.

Try and rember to keep moving to Union City as fast as possable, If you stay in one place, then you will end up losing the game.

Always have the chainsaw. If the zombie break through, they move very slow, giving you a chance to mow them down with the chain saw.

Don't search every building. The more nights you are in a city, the harder it becomes.

btw, you don't start with chainsaw. You obtain it in the first town after searching.

Sorry for triple posting, but you don't start with revolver either.

Also, you forgot the shotgun and the sawn-off shotgun.
