Ok, from the starting room with the two old guys, go up, right, up, left, up, and then left. Talk to the guy on the floor to get "Mendo's Ring". Go left and walk over to the window, so that you are standing by the moon. Press spacebar and you will get a free skillpoint.
Untested Cheat: keep clicking next right after you start a game, then when the screen is black, click play. I'm not sure if this works.
