Yes, this idea has been done, but it is good that you are thinking of ways to improve the site. Instead of coming up with a one sentence idea, elaborate more. Explain why these would be good to have.

It's challenging as it is. It's quite difficult to have the patience to become Gold King, let alone other HIGHER ranks. The ranking system is great; it's competitive, difficult and of course fun :)
