But if you're referring to two different games, and two different comments, then yeah, I'm sure you can earn both merits. People could earn tons of merits in a day if they really tried :P
No I meant 2 different comments on one game.

Well, the best advice for that? Check the comments. I usually do that for familiar games I play. For example, I hadn't realized I wrote a comment for Hustler, so basically, I go back a few pages, press CTRL + F and search for my username. That's my system. Honestly, if you're not sure, the onus is on you to check, so if you happen to lose a merit for double posting or whatever the case may be, it's your fault.
Possibly a good idea.
Maybe that's why a friend of mine lost a merit.

No then, you will not earn the merit for the second comment. It makes no sense for moderators/admins to reward you twice... unless it's some sort of dissertation, then MAYBE, but that's unlikely :P

What if a different mod saw it and didn't know you already had a merit for that game?

Hm. Well, you've stumped me firetail. I honestly can't say. I would assume moderators/admins sift through the pages of comments first before rewarding a merit.

Really? If it's possible, could you dig that game/comment up? I'm quite interested in this now.

So, if a mod was rewarding a merit for Free Rider 2 and...(I think you get my point, if you check the game free rider 2's comments)

Yes, people have gotten two merits on the same game. It was a mistake made by a moderator who didn't go through the entirety of the comments. Sometimes people will post the same comment a few times, which is spam, and get merits for both. Once it is seen, we will delete one of them.
As for writing two merit-worthy comments on the same game, you will only get one merit. Again, if a mistake is made, you may get two for a period of time, but one will be deleted. I usually delete the shorter one. If you see this, let a moderator know.
If you want to get merits, instead of writing two comments on the same game, write them on different games. Writing comments just for the sake of points is spam, whether or not the comment is long or not.
