Okay is it bad to ask people to see your comments and telling them to vote up?

Yes,  It is somehwat of a form of cheating to get a merit,  ALthough it does not help alot on getting you a merit because it is not sent to a Mod,  It is still cheating.

And what if you tell them if they like it and they vote up?

I personally wouldn't want someone asking me to do that.  If someone likes your review enough, they will vote it up.  And if one of us likes it enough, we'll merit it :)

If they do it without you telling them to, then that is ok.

it could be bad and it could be good bad if your comment was poorely written and you just want people to vote it up because you want a merit .

Good if you wrote a great review and your asking someone if it is worthy of a merit........

The fact is, if you don't have a merit worthy comment, you will not get a merit for it no matter if it is up voted or not. I would leave it up to other peoples discretion, instead of asking them to. If you have a good review, you shouldn't have to ask someone to do that.
