The joker is the main character
The batman sounds like he smokes 40 cigarettes a day and has throat cancer...And hes the weakest character in the film

Yup, The Joker is te main and by FAR the best character, The Batman does sound like he smokes 40 a day and is the the weakest character but still... What a film!!! And if Heath doesnt get an Oscar for that performance then I'll eat the DVD!

I loved the movie. The joker was amazing, and I liked the choices Batman had to make, and his eventual transformation into the Dark Knight to protect the hero of Gotham.
I will say, I was a little disappointed with Heath Ledger's preformance. Before you kill me, let me explain. All we heard about before the movie came out was how creepy his preformance was. After seeing it, his prefromance didn't live up to my imagination. That being said, he gave the best comic book movie villan preformance ever.

If Heath Ledger won an Oscar, would that be the first post-humous Oscar ever awarded?

IMO the first was better than the second. All movies are. The first, he got to fight more people, and there was more action, plus he got accepted into a cult.
The second movie was just plain...sad. Not sad as in terrible, but sad as in melancholy. You got to see just how twisted and evil that Heath can really be, just before he died. The situations in the second movie had person over person tearing each other apart just to survive another day. And the role that Heath Ledger got to assume was perfect, because he is a great actor at that. It was even comical at times (e.g. him in the hospital and bombing it)

It was really dark. Almost everyone was corrupt, and evil. Described a world where difficult to live.

The movie wasn't bad, but the plot was quite confusing. They screwed up the roles of the characters, and they made everything very negative. They stacked up the odds against Batman, and Batman managed to overcome it, which is very cli'che, if I may.
