I'm unable to eat red meat (beef, and some pork). I depend on Soy, nuts, and occasional chicken and fish. I'm not a member of PETA, I love meat! I only wish I could eat it!

I don't really have to worry about things like this, because I love meat. I have a balenced diet, but in my opinion there's nothing better than a juicy hamburger, especially when its still bloody.

Yep. I always say you need a little bit of everything to stay healthy. Don't overdo any one thing, but balance everything, and you will feel great and live well.

Wellllll i think its dumb to be a vegetarian.. Wats up with the sudden sprout of protect the animal activationists... Its kinda rlly annoying. Eating meat is essential to survival. If we dont eat meat we are unbalancing the rule of nature. We aren't killing the weak, and therefore one species may become lazy. Then all of a sudden we start relizing we need meat, and its to late for that species. They have become easy to kill, and all of a sudden there extinct.. In other words, you not eating meat could potentially cause extinction in the future. Just my theory. Ill prob get criticized for it but w/e.

*revive*
omg your serious.... your honestly saying you dont eat meat? K lemme tell you sumthing about becoming a vegetarian and other stuff around it.
1) there a study that shows vegetarians have at least a 2X smaller brain than people that eat meat.
2) If tigers, cheetahs, whales, sharks, hippos, rhynos, jaguars, coyotes, wolves, etc... found us alone, they would eat us with out hesitation. Its called survival. They dont give a sh't if you have a beating heart or not. They need food, and we need food, its a character of life.
3) Not eating animals creates an over existence of one type of animal. You are screwing up natural life. Its supposed to be that the strong get to keep moving on in life, and the weak won't. The weak will die, and the strong will live to continue that chain of there family and make them stronger with evolution. We not eating meat makes other animals become more lazy, therefore allowing predators to relax, and eventual the whole food chain is f'cked up.
4) We need protein, and tofu just tastes like a spoonfull of sh't. I've tried it and almost puked. I would rather eat meat than eat anything else in the world.
5) Our forefathers had to eat meat to survive, and so o we. Now adays its just easier to buy it at a store.
6) You gain muscles eating meat, alllowing you to become healthy, and stronger.
7) Ya wat else are you gonna do with its skin? Throw it out lol. (I dont beleive in killing animals for fur. I beleive if we kill animals, we should use as most of it as possible. It does have a life, and when animals kill us or other animals, they eat as much as they can.)
Noncomformist on Vegetarian Anyone?
i totally agree with him being a vegetarinan is basically saying god is wrong (if you believe in the bible and you should)
Kid_Saiyain on Vegetarian Anyone?
To provide a wider perspective, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism support vegetarianism. Of course, not all Hindus, Buddhists, and Jains are strictly vegetarian.

Now, start discussing?
Is there really anything left to discuss? We showed up the first post as being generally untrue. I posted information about being a very healthy vegan and vegetarian. We've discussed the various reasons for people being such and various reasons why other people think it's silly. And quite a few of the posts consisted of people laughing and talking about eating burgers.
So aside from all the info found in the various pages is there a topic left we haven't covered?

"yeah if your a vegy then you have to take pills for protein or eat chips that have 1g of protein and like 20g of fat..unhealthy."
Uh sounds to me like some child who just learned what the word vegetarian means, and that meats have proteins in them. That's one of the most uneducated things on vegetarianism I have heard in a while. I'm not a vegy myself, but there are LOTS of things that provide protien besides animals and animal products. Plenty of beans, nuts and grains, to start. You dont need to eat chips with a 20/1 ratio of fat to protein...Where the hell did you even get that idea?
