I agree juan but dont you think changing your name would be very confusing as what if everbody in the top 100 switched there name who would know whos who but also if name changing was added to the game i agree with you that you would only be allowed 2 or 3 times to reduce havock
Yeas of course. You see they said people would get away with spam.Well how about only change your name once or twice. And after that you can't change it anymore. That way we could keep up with spammers.
Are there really any sites like this that allow you to change your username?
Yea I have been in a few but usually those don't turn out so good.
OK compare the pros and cons
PROS: People can have what they want People won't argue about name changing anymore CONS: Causes extra work to the administrators It gets confusing I think you know the rest.
Okay, say User X is the biggest spammer in the world. One day, they decide to change their name to User Y. Well, don't you think the moderators could already track that person? For example, through an IP address label or just seeing wherever that person posts on the forum, etc.
It'd be utterly useless and there'd be no sense in changing your name, because as I wrote in the previous thread, people should think about their usernames before they sign up - if you don't like it: a) suck it up or b) create a new account.
It's that simple.
Also, the only pro I see: a bunch of whiners can change their name (kind of like what plokkey wrote :P).
