Seriously, what is wrong with the mods? MasterChef got banned, but then he came back. So they banned him again. Then he came back a 3rd time, and he asked if he could stay without being banned. He didn't even do anything bad. But out of spite, the mods banned him anyway. Really, MODS, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU??? just give the guy a chance. You are all to caught up with being preppy little jerks, that you don't even care about anyone else.

First of all, you should know by now that is is never ok to make threads specifically targeting members of the community. If you have a problem with what happened to chef, bring it to myself or one of the moderators personally. This is NOT the way to do it.

No, it is not too strict. The thing about a permanent ban is hey, it's permanent! We have temporary bans in place for people who have committed minor offenses, to show them what they did wrong and that they cannot do it anymore. If an offense is very serious, we will sometimes give someone a permanent ban. That means that they are no longer allowed on this site, under their current or any other account. This applies to ALL members. No exceptions. In order to be fair, the rules have to be applied to all members equally. And one of the rules that everyone agreed to when signing up for this site, is:
"Do not complain about getting banned, and do not make another account to circumvent a ban."

If he broke the rules so badly in order to get himself permanently banned, it is his own fault. He did it to himself. No one made him break the rules but himself. You can't blame the rule enforcers for enforcing the rules. That is what we do. And if you don't like the rules, well, tough. =)
