Catholic is a form of Christianity so it should count, and JesusPriest, Jesus was Jewish, but Jewish law says that Jesus wasn't the son of god, Christian says that he is, so as we worship Jesus who worshiped God, making him Jewish, we aren't Jewish, we are a different religion. So no we don't worship Jewish people or any people other than Jesus.
Well Jesus was called a Jew because (correct me if I'm wrong) He was a believer of God, anyone who believed in God back then was called a jew. Christianity was founded on the belief of Jesus as the messiah and savior of man from sin. So how could Jesus be called a Christian while he was living if he had not yet been crucified?
Jesus had to be a christian. he's Jesus! He loves his Dad and loved Him even on earth.
I am a Gentile. That is, I am not a Jew by blood. However, God accepts Jew and Gentiles into his presence and under his wings (spiritually, of course). I am a Christian. I believe in the Existence of God, his Son, and the Holy Spirit. I'll join this club =)
