I wanted to know how you get merits, is it making a very detailed comment? If so does it take long to get this merit or is it like automatic?

You can get a merit by writing a really great review for a game. A mod will see it and if they think it is worthy give it a merit. You will not know which one or when you get the merit. The only way you know is on your page you have one more merit point and 25 more ap
