You press the Quote button, paste the text you want to appear with the black line, then click the /Quote button (same as the Quote button).
Or paste the text, highlight it, click the Quote button once.
OR type [quote ] the text here [ /quote] without the spaces.

BTW, this will only work on the forums. Not on about, or in comments.

Also, you can add a [ quote=name of someone] without the space and the [ /quote] to have it appear as whoever said it. Like this.

The quote button is the last button in the row of blue buttons above where you type out your post, not a button on the keyboard.

You put in the [url= part, add the link, close the bracket, add whatever comment you want, then finish with [/ url]. But again, without the spaces =)
