When it's green it means you're online and when it's red it means you're offline, although it stays green for a while after you become inactive.

Yes that is true, and it should be within 5 minutes of your inavticity and right when you log-in or go to your page for the first time it might stay red for just a bit but just wait it out and it will turn green.

Oh and at the bottom of the community you can see users active in the last 5 minutes.

After about 10 minutes of inactivity, even if you still keep your browser open or don't log off, it'll turn red to signal your offline. And if you logout, it should turn red within a few minutes.

Green means your active, and you have did something in the past few minutes.

Actually, it's 5 minutes of inactivity, firetail.

And it looks like this thread is past its usefulness...

Well, depending on how bored I am, most of the time it seems like longer.

I agree with Klaushouse. Just because he's ranked #1 doesn't mean he's always right.

I'm not always right...when did I say that?
I'm always wrong...
correct that.

But seriously, lets just settle it as after a few minutes of inactivity, the dot turns red and it means your offline.
