What I mean by a LONGER FRIENDS LIST is that... all your friends would be on your ABOUT page.Instead of clicking ALL FRIENDS each and every time you want to talk to a new friend.
The problem with this is that it would slow down the profile pages considerably. That is why this is not currently implemented. The more objects the page has to load, the slower it will be. And some people have A LOT of friends!
Loading the page, it may not make the whole site slower, only a fraction of a fraction of a second, but when you go to load the page GOOD LUCK TO YOU SIR if that person is similar to KoG with every user known to Armourkind on their friends list o.o
Your still loading more objects, just hiding them with a scroll bar.

Yea but what if you just show 3/4 of your friends? That wouldnt make it as slow.
That would still be an increase in objects loaded on the page. It would still slow it down. Not as much as loading 100%, but would still slow it down.

Potentially both. It would make member pages slower, and if it increasing the bandwidth by enough overall, it has the potential to slow the site as a whole.
