But apparently, in an interview with Krin, he stated:
“We also have big plans for Sonny...so the first two games are small pieces in a much bigger puzzle.”

It's very possible that Krin will just add new zones to Sonny 2 to finish up the story.

Well, there will be hopefully newer zones and achievements on the way. I prefer newer zones than a whole new game, I mean, why bother? Taking the slightly easier route makes much more sense...
