I won't really say much, but it's really good help for the newbies. This only includes area 1, but it will give you a good idea of how to choose drops, skills, and shop items wisely...or the way I do it.

Abilities

The way I started out was pretty simple. You have 5 skill pnts. to spend. My recomendation:

1. Mind Freeze
2. Flash Freeze
3. Impair
4. Restore

It's a good habit to leave out 1 or 2 skill pnts. If I were you, I wouldn't be too defensive or offensive all at one time. During every lvl up, I would put all those into the skills you stated out with. If you want to earn new skills,

Armor, Weapons, Drops, and Enemies

Through the first couple battles I would recommend the guard armor. After fighting a couple of guards, you will be fighting the prioners. Their armor dropped (not the weapons) should be picked up. After the prisoners, you will fight a doctor. Don't pick up his clothes. The twisted experiment is next. All his drops are good especially the blade. For me, the blade lasted the whole area, even against Felicity (which will be later on). Then you will be up to Frankie and another so-called doctor. His bodywear is awesome and is highly recommended. The warden is the semi-boss. His damage-over-time is one of the only annoying things you should be worried about. One critical thing is that once you get him below 100, he sentences one of you to death. All his drops are great and last for a while. The boss of that area is Felicity. Her specialty is defense and speed. It's a moderately difficult fight, but it's durable. She leaves behind a blade and has a caption that says to keep it away from Veradux. I really don't know why, but don't test it out for precautionary purposes.

I'll probably have one for the other areas soon, but this is just to push those hydraulic newbies into the right direction. If you have a special request on other areas of the game, contact me via e-mail because i'm not rly on armor games that much. (ask me 4 it)

i left one part out on the skills part...If you want to earn new skillz, take wreck or demolish if you're high enough a level.

The Warden's (Whatever his name actually was) club has a higher instinct and strength than the twisted experiments sword.

Also, I think the warden's gear is overall better, though I don't remember how high the doctor's clothes raise instinct/ the ZPCI Elite's armor.

You want to gain Instinct as a Cold Hydraulic

Instinct is important at during the last battles because your last attack resort is the vapour cannon and it is important in gaining focus.

ALL Cold Hydraulic attacks cost 0 Focus at max. Focus is unimportant.

If you watched the 1st cut scene vera get hit with felicity's sword in the face and same when you defeat her thus the caption "keep it away from veradux" but vera can still equip it.

not unless you're a hot blooded hydro.

I wouldn't find that terribly efficient, but I guess if you focus mostly on a Hot Hydraulic with strength it might be good since abilities like Flash Freeze don't need to deal major damage.

If you were going for a physical character I would suggest the Physical Bio as a better class though.

i'm not much of one force...the way i do it is 1/2 and 1/2...physical and non-physical must be balanced...i'm not sure if i'm understanding you right though.

How about this. What do you put your points into? Strength? Instinct?

I'm not sure what you mean by 1/2 and 1/2 but it sounds to me like you are making a Hot Hydraulic (Strength based) with some Cold Hydraulic status ailment attacks, since they don't actually require it to deal a lot of damage.

If you are putting points into BOTH Instinct AND Strength, that's horribly inefficient for a Hydraulic.

oh contrair...you're just sayin that coz u haven't tried it out yet...or so i think. when you're lvl 28-30, it becomes rly helpful, but if you're comortable doing it the way u do it, i have no problem

Stat wise, looking at the efficiency of the moves, it IS a bad way to do it. Efficiency doesn't have to do with if something CAN work or not. It has to do if it is WISE to do it that way or not for the most effective outcome.

i think psycho is very right, by going '1/2 and 1/2' u are cutting ur potential in '1/2', if u are going warm blooded, the only cold blooded move usable is flash freeze, and u dont really need to be able to heal urself, just use vera

In my opinion being a cold hydraulic is better than being a mixed hydraulic...

you guys are 4 da most part right, but i like 2 experiment with the skills and the way I battle. i'm not rly into the different "versions" of a hydraulic even though the outcomes may show to be more effective. in my opinion, it's more fun when it's more challenging because acing the game in a flash is very releiving, but you get less out of it.
