I honestly doubt that something with jet turbines/engines is going to be legal, although it would be an interesting cop chase.

As far as the fastest street legal vehicle that goes to the Vauxhall Victor, but it is modified to perform. It runs at 2200 horsepower, it roars at 0 to 60mph in just 1 second, and can complete a 1/4 mile run in 7.8 seconds, and has a 9.3 liter V8 engine, but some people argue that it should be the McLaren F1. It is unmodified and runs at 627 horsepower with a 6.1 60 degree V12 BMW S70/2 engine I wouldn't mind having that in my Lotus ;).
