How about a Real-Time puzzle/skill game? Something between RPG and Puzzle..

eg. enDice, But with warriors that block your way and your hero needs to push the dice.

Just a combination between Puzzle and RPG. Loads of fun, and sounds simple (sounds).
I hope I've given you some ideas...

i think somthing realistic would be a good one. but dont over do it. i like proper war games not silly ones where you only face one opponent at a time. it could be stratgic with a birds eye view but what i would really prefer is 1st or 3rd person for that action'y feel and in your face fast reaction thing.

sounds a bit hard but i think it would be a good challenge for a game maker like you
