Perhaps now with my new spear, i will continue to explore the area, Searching particularly for soft materials (moss, vines, barks, ect.)
Also, you know how we only have so many bag spots? Well, can we drop materials (like wood for fires and whatnot) off at our house area, as to save some room?

With your new Spear you continue to explore around the Jungle with Spine you find 5 pieces of dry wood, and 2 pieces of flint you drop off the things at your home! (Tent can hold 8 more different items) After dropping them off suddenly a Tribesman jumps out from the bushes! Surprised you pull out your spear and throw it instantly killing him (+1 Exp since that was a cheap kill!) You search around him and find a manual for making a Shack (What the hell?) Looks like you need a tent and 50 Pieces of Wood of any kind

Retrieving my spear, I pocket the paper and take all the items back to my tent. I look discouragingly at the bamboo spear and wood. I then go back into the jungle (taking the spear with me of course), in search of a long, sturdy vine. This time I leave my tiger to guard my tent, and I will take any wood I can find and carry.
