what about all the abolitionists? pretty sure most were white...yet ALL white people are clumped into the slave-owner group. i find that very offensive. slave owners were a small group of rich people...of all colors! african tribes sold each others prisoners of war to the slave traders...kind of puts some of the blame back on themselves, doesn't it?
Yea Wally, that is what I never understood... You never heard about the tribes that sold their own people. And yet white people in general are the ones who are blamed for all of the slave trade.
Carlie, that is what happens when people don't know their own history. Slavery was widespread until fairly recently in the history of man, and every tribe/nation/whatever indulged in it.
