Seriosly There is so many words in the world why do people have to cuss? Do you think your cool, tough, brave, or does it make you popular? What's the whole point?
Possibly to emphasize what you're saying. Of course, this would not work in an intelligent conversation. If you're just casually talking though I think minimal cussing does to a point help you to convey your ideas. If you choose to do it of course, which I don't most the time.
I don't curse or cuss or whatever you call it, because I think it is not a way of saying things but around where I live it is sort oflike a fad. The people around my area think it makes them cool or brave etc. I will say hell or dam but thats it. I don't consider them in the group though. I don't see how this word group was created, I mean, their just words.
Some people cuss that I know and I asked them why they just said it's cool, then they asked me why I don't and I told them it was stupid there's no point and that it's not cool. Yakooza Do you think it's funny when people say it to you and there stinken mad and they actually mean it?
I think cussing really came from a desire to insult people. We would not be the same race if we were all nice and not cussy.
Otherwise, there'd be people going 'I'm very displeased with you. You shared a bed with my wife, you knave. I shall have to teach you the error of your ways.'
Then they'd cancel Jerry Springer. Think of all the children without daddies! Or, like, 4 daddies...
That was pretty much what I was going to say: Swearing shows no class. Among friends, it is acceptable but in a public area or at a social event, they aren't "just words", they are just words... that show no common decency.
