Lets see who can get the highest score on a specific level, and game type.

The round Im picking is the third last spot, in the third area. The only usable gems are purple and cyan, so it wont rely so much on luck. Here is a screenshot of the spot:

The game mode is endurance, post a screenshot of your game right before you die or at the results screen, or both. I prefer right before you die. Post your level also, so we can compare people at different levels. If you do good share tips on how you got your score for the people who are having trouble.

Ill add my score in later tonight.

I dont think traps can reach 730.. I thought they maxed out in 300's.

Even still there is a more efficient way than joojamoi mentioned.

Sorry I remembered wrong, those orange-red gems in traps were capped to 670 firing speed, not 730. But with orange-red-yellow you can get it up to 1071.
These screen shots are taken very close to each other (look at the wave queue and how many monsters there are now and how many are coming for example) and note also the difference in mana.

Hmph... again I messed up with links. :P

Orange-red-yellow gems: http://img249.imageshack.us/img249/1173/orangeredyellow.jpg

P.S. what's the more efficient way then? I'd like to know that too.

well, it is more effiocient but there is a small downside as well. Doesnt work on my computer (laggy) but boost up a spawn wave until it has about 1.2k armor and then send them out, each pass through they will take about 2-10 mana per monster and give you a constant flow of thousands of mana per second. If you use red gems you can hit the stronger monsters between them from other waves, though the spawn wave will absorb the majority of the damage you send out, taking 0 damage until you get higher level gems, and giving you an unlimited stream of mana at pretty much no cost.

Well, I'm nowhere near the exalted levels you guys are, but I question this strategy. Something similar to this worked fantastically well on the original Gemcraft, but in GC:0 the monsters increase their banishment costs, so they cause more and more damage on every round they pass through the wiztower. Is the strategy still valid?

yes, each pass through the tower adds nothing to the banishment cost.

A typical low level spawn wave costs 3 mana to banish, and you can milk upwards of 1000 mana from a single spawn monster with just a few traps.

If you anger the spawn waves, they gain 5 monsters and 2 mana. use enough small gem bombs and eventually they gain hundreds of armor per bomb, and still gain 5 monsters.

As I said, the only downside is the pure amount of spawn creeps will not let you be able to really do good damage to the real creeps. This wont matter though, because in the span of 10 waves you will have gained millions of mana, much more than any amount of monsters can cost you through banishing. I think I maxed out around 300 creeps on my screen before I decided to kill them to un-lag, and gaining about 4k mana per second still (including banishing) at that point, if not much much more.
