help with Dungeon Defender plz.

Posted May 26, '09 at 7:31am daleksparta 672 posts	I'm stuck on level 8 in medium. I focus on surrounding a demon and a centaur on teh bottom path with academies and tracks respectively. I tried two more demons above that with academies, but I've found that elementals seem to work better. I got killed by a swarm of rogues rather late on the level. help! (at that time I had the money oty make moar elementals, should I have tried more demons instead?)

I mentioned demons for a reason. Level 8 is the one with 3 paths, each with a lot of copper and a gold vein on each line. Between the top 2 paths is a lot of copper veins, and 2 shrines (I forget name. Boosts most stats.) I orient towards the avatar upgrades. I have the stat boosting and item upgrade skills. (and back in black, I think.) No unit boosting skills.

You don't need academies or tracks, but if you must, it's better to surround the academy or track with demons or centaurs than a demon or centaur with academies and tracks. Use Golems around the Blacksmiths. Throw in a Demon or two. Use Demons around the Altars. You might want to throw in a few Golems there. The rest of the map should be filled with Centaurs in every square that can be spared and flying monsters (Manticore or Vampire) where the Centaurs can't reach.

Posted May 29, '09 at 11:26am daleksparta 672 posts	It worked with an elemental at the far right, 3 demons at the top, 3 demons down the side of the bottom path (I did cut that path a bit short), 2 elementals at the end of each lair, demons and centaurs up the left path. The lone elemental, the 3 demons down the side of the bottom path and above the main building, and the centaur had been surrounded by 8 of the appropriate building.
