Trust me, the only reason I haven't banned certain people multiple times from this thread is because I know I'm partially responsible. The WoM would carry an MA15 rating on the basis of its high-level violence, sexual references, nudity and scenes of drug use. And I wanted it to be a children's comic ;_;

Meh, kiddies gotta learn about rohypnol somehow.

Then again Asterix and Obelix is a children's comic and it has lots of violence and arguably frequent scenes of drug use too :P

Yeah, but slapping people with fish is funny violence. Also, can you really count magic potion as drug abuse? I mean, aside from the case of Obelix, they aren't really abusing it, they're taking the right doses.

Bwahahahaha suffer you guys, suffer French in high school! I've already done my time (four years of it).

It's all BS. The only 3 words you need to know to have a good understanding of French culture are: retreat, surrender and collaborate.

I will just argue that French at least is better than German

But German's fun! You can sound like you're punching someone or getting hit in the solar plexus when you're telling your mom that dinner is good. Plus you can say to people who annoy you: "dubist ein dumpkoff." Of course, I can insult people in Greek and Italian as well, for reasons known only to me.

Now I have to deal with Latin. At least everyone knows it's a dead language and I can't be expected to converse in it.

I think there's a Latin sub-movement in AG, kinda' like how German is the official language of the Grammanr Nazis.

Eh I'm not very good at learning other languages, other then Spanish which most words I remember are the ones I knew while I was growing up and the majority of that is food....guess I eat a lot of Mexican food...well my dad and his family immigrated so I think based on his side I'm a first generation American who doesn't know how to speak another Spanish o well the food is easier to cook then to learn the language...anyways I read an interesting article which describe profanity being the source of a spoken language...supposely it uses another part of the brain, and what would someone with no language say if he had his foot smashed? or some other painful experience...in some sense that is the link so "**** that **** **** hurt" may be better to learn lolz

Actually the ivy-league colleges probably won't bother taking you unless you have good SATs and do languages. They're all old-fashioned liberal-arty like that and everybody with a good SAT will apply.

If you don't do a language, then do music. Or lots of community service and volunteer work. Anything to pad your CV and make you look like a "well-rounded, cultured person".

I'm totally doing one, maybe even two scenes today.

*raises hand*

I do music!!!

And go to a high ranking college-prep school. I'd say I'm set for college no matter what.

... and then the day before manta sits his tests, he pulls an all-nighter supplemented by methamphetamines. He breezes through the test and gets zero, thus eliminating any chance he had of going to a college better than Hard Knut Uni.

Except in this case.

In this case I am not set.
