I was watching the news and I saw them talking about when Obama swatted at a fly during a CNBC interview. Now the PETA (People for the Ethical Treament of Animals) is very upset about this. To qoute them.
"In a nutshell, our position is this: He isn't the Buddha, he's a human being, and human beings have a long way to go before they think before they act."
I think that they are over reacting about the whole situation. I mean its just a fly for Gods sake. They don't have to go all defensive with the fly. They've probably done it too. So they need to just be quite about the situation. If it wasn't Obama doing it they could've cared less. I think it is just an act to get attention.
But really they are just overreacting. It's a fly, they live for like a day, he just saved it from a slow death, we should congratulate him for being so nice to the fly!
Those mean PETA people love to watch flies die slowly, they are just mean!
I think they are being ridiculous. Yes, we know you love animals but flies aren't actually animals! They are insects! So what I think they are doing is just trying to get some more attention. I haven't ever heard of this group until I watched a South Park episode where they married some animals.
First off that was a great shot I only manage to swat them like that once in a blue moon. But I wonder why there was a fly in the room when you are interviewing the president of America. I know they can't control things like that but maybe there was time to think "oh theres a fly and the president's here maybe we should get rif of it before the interview starts" I dunno... But it is ridiuclous that they are PETA are geting upset about I know "love all animals grat and small" etc. but its a fly and I'm struggling to elaborate on it. Then again I don;t see why it was headline news anyway... so what Obama can kill a fly. Wow!! <sarcasm
that had to be really disrespectful like in his interview cause they could get made at him or something that would not be cool cause he would probably get fired then that would be really bad so thats it hope you enjoy one thing barrak obama is my favorite president thats it.

Exactly. What has the world come to? I mean PETA jumping at the opening to make some noise in the media about the Pres. swatting at a fly, He's a normal human being just like any other person so why should he be differnt? And the media letting get a headline news spot. Just pitiful.
