I'm new at this so bear with. I will allow 6 people to play at once. I may allow more to join later.
Story: It is April 29, 1945. You are a soldier in World War 2. You are part of the liberation of Dachau, a concentration camp.
Classes:
Soldier: Soldiers are good at combat. Their starting abilities are: Combat Knowledge, Gun Proficiency, and Armor Proficiency.
Medic: Medics are good at healing. Their starting abilities are Heal, SOS, and Morale Boost.
Engineer: Engineers are good with machines. Their starting abilities are Repair, Sabotage, and Minor Hack.
Subclasses can be chosen when you reach level 5. I will show them to you then.
The attributes are
Strength, which is physical strength
Endurance, which is health
Dexterity, which is speed and stealth
Intelligence, which is...well, intelligence
Charisma, which is persuasiveness.
Rank: Your rank is how many people you control and also the amount of Moral you have. If your rank is high enough, it can also raise the Moral of the people under your command. Rank goes up when your level goes up.
Division: You can choose the 42nd Rainbow Division, the 45th Thunderbird Division, or the 20th Armored Division. There can be only 2 players per Division.
Moral: Moral is your confidence. It is lowered when you are injured, a mission is unsuccessful, or you lose a battle. If your Moral reaches zero, you surrender.
Hit Points: Hit Points is how much health you have. If your Hit Points reaches zero, you die. If you die, you can make a new character, but you will start completely over.

Yates agreed with your first decision. He's an OK guy, so he'll let you come up with a strategy. If he likes it, that's what you do. If not, then you'll use his strategy.

Alright, my idea is to head toward Dachau, stop well away from the battle (ex. 3 km), then set up an ambush.

For the actual ambush setup, I'll need more info on this 'SS'. Are there any vehicles? If there are, are they limited to buggy's or are there full tanks? How many troops are we thinking here?

Your scout is dead; he can't provide you with any further information, but the SS are getting pretty infamous. Yates explains to you what the scout reported prior.
"He said that they had light vehicles such as Jeeps, armed with turrets, but could not see any heavy artillery or armored vehicles such as tanks. He thinks there are about fifty of them, all heavily armed. That's about a third of our force here, combined with the Soviets. But the SS are more heavily trained than the average soldier; indeed, they are Germany's most elite and infamous force. Do not underestimate them. Our scout was unable to provide us with any further information."

Set up an ambush in a heavily forested area, in line with Dachau. Hopefully the SS didn't change their route.

Once I get a visual on the area, I'll describe the ambush.

If you win(which is not a guarantee), your XP will rocket to the moon, especially since after this you'll be finding the rest of the American division from the helicopter.

The area where you choose to set up the ambush is extremely lush with plant growth; you find the need to force yourself in between the pine trees and thorny brambles. It hurts, but this area should effectively pin the SS; and vice versa. Visibility is limited due to the thick trees, and it's also very dark. The pine boughs block most of the sunlight from reaching the forest floor. It seems like a pretty good spot for stealth, but it's impossible not to make noise when moving, which is a problem. The ground is flat, no hills, dips, or crests, so you should be able to see them and the other way around, unless you take cover.

Hoping the SS didn't change their direction and half-guessing from the incomplete report Yates got from the scout before he was discovered, you set up an ambush in a very lushly wooded area in between the SS' route from Dachau to the Allied Camp. The pine trees are so close together that you have to struggle and squeeze yourself through them, and the thorny bramble bushes scratch you until you all look like the recipients of a rabid cat attack, faces scratched and bleeding(although it doesn't do any real damage, it still stings like crazy). This should pin the SS in the area fairly effectively though, but would also do the same for you. Hardly any light permeates the thick boughs of the pine trees, so it's very dark and hard to see, however it would not be very good for stealth because it's impossible to move without rattling some tree or bush and making a noise. The ground is flat, no dips or hills, so you and the SS should both be able to see each other through the trees fairly easily. What will you do?

haha, you posted the same situation twice. XP

A) My strategy is fairly simple. We'll be set up in a Y formation, the top of the Y being me and Firtail, and the bottom being Yates. Consider the nazis coming down in prespective to the Y. When they arrive in the centre, me and Firetail will open fire with our rifles. This should either:
A) leave the Nazis distracted, attempting to counter fire.
B) Have them fleeing towards our camp (since the firing is happening behind them) or
C) have them close in on the firing.

I'm hoping for B or A, but C will leave me in trouble.

Then Yates will go full auto with the machine gun, hopefully since either the SS will be fleeing toward him or in the same spot. If they head away from him, he'll have to get out of cover.

Nazis will then be confused and head for Yates. In the mean time, I'll sabotage a car to make it inoperable. Firetail will right after take the place in the machine gun on top of the car by killing the person on top.

.....Yep, I confirm the plan with Firetail and Yates (or whatever his name is, not sure, since I can't go back and look)

There's a flaw with your plan. The SS, on the open, flat ground, will see you long before they walk into their trap.

OK.
You hide in the bushes in the planned Y formation. You hear the loud marching of boots and look to see around fifty armed SS soldiers; their double lightning S insignia is visible(they may have committed atrocious crimes,but at least they have a cool symbol). You see them stop at the edge of the thick forest and split up into thirds. One of the thirds starts marching again, right into your trap. But the other two disappear into the woods. For all you know, they could be on your flank.

A) Continue as planned with the SS that are coming into our trap
B) Change the plan(to what?)
C) Make your own option
