Here are some tips for Phage Wars 2:

1. The beginning will be hard because you do not have very good genomes yet. Keep trying and don't get frustrated, when you get to the good genomes everything will be good.
2. The best trait to invest in is Reproduction. Quantity will always trump quality.
3. After, go for Strength and Defense. Defense will help you survive (something you lack greatly in the beginning) and strength will help you capture cells more easily.
4. Agility is worth nothing; it only measures how fast your viruses turn. Speed is nominally useful, but still inferior to fast reproduction.
5. Cancerous cells are the best special cells, followed by bacteria, then red blood, then white blood. Of course, by now you should be making orders in split seconds so as to get them all at approximately the same time.
6. The AI is ruthless, but their main weakness is overpressing the attack, meaning to say that they keep attacking to the point where their defenses are extremely weak. Attack them as soon as this happens.
7. The beginning is the most important stage of the game; it's very hard to get back up if you don't get a lead. You usually start with 100 viruses in one cell, so it's generally best to deploy into two different cells in the first few seconds of the game.
8. The best defense is a good offense. If you can subdue your enemy's cells before they can attack, they will be unable to score major victories.
9. You can't have negative traits (negative speed, agility, etc.), so if you don't have anything there, then don't worry about it. The key to winning is specialization; a well-rounded virus will not do well.
10. Don't be afraid to press X and terminate the experiment. It happens.

Here's my sequence:
strH: +1 Strength
repN: +1 Reproduction
defE: +1 Defense
musL: -1 Speed, +2 Strength
lovE: -1 Agility, +2 Reproduction
agiY: +1 Agility
speD: +1 Speed
layZ: -5 Speed, +3 Defense, +2 Reproduction
irnC: -1 Speed, -2 Agility, +1 Strength, +2 Defense
powR: +1 Speed, +1 Strength
incR: -2 Speed, +2 Defense, +2 Reproduction
walL: -4 Speed, +4 Defense
homE: -2 Speed, +3 Reproduction
leeB: +1 Strength, +1 Defense, +1 Speed
booM: -3 Agility, +3 Strength, +3 Reproduction

My total stats were: 0 Speed, 10 Strength, 0 Agility, 11 Defense (max), 11 Reproduction (max). Although my viruses were very slow, the sheer number of them I could produce in a short time combined with their powerful strength allowed me to steamroller through the opposing viruses. The defense helped protect the cells I had already captured, preventing them from falling back into enemy hands.

I maxed out strength, defense, and reproduction and had all three colors with 2000 units of space left.

My advice (even though this kind of goes against me having 0 speed and agility) is capture every neutral cell as fast as possible, and capture the cancer cells first. In the end, what it all boils down to is who has the most cells, because more virus producers means more of the virus.

I have jacK now, which gives you +2 in every stat. Though it didn't help my speed or agility situation, I managed to max out strength. I'm going to see how a speed one will work, but I'm skeptical about it.

I've beaten the final level with 0 strength, max speed and near-max agility.  I don't remember defense or reproduction, but they were low.

It wasn't really hard, just annoying.  You just fly to the cells very quickly, making it easy to capture them.  In the beginning of an experiment you just capture a lot quickly, and then use them all to attack a single enemy cell.  You won't do a lot of damage (or have many to attack with since you just split it so much), but all of them attacking so quickly should take out the enemies.

The game is really easy I beat it with zero upgrades.

Yes by pure strategy. Use reproduction cell and others to reinforce your strength cell and fire your big gun! The increased reproduction cells are way overpowered imho...

My sequence is 7 jacKs, 3 colors powR and leeB :P have everything maxed with all colors

IMO the game in itself is too easy, just rush the enemy cells and you'll win fast.

You guys do realize it's possible to have a genome full of jacks, making it perfect in every way? All you have to do is refresh your browser and play the same. My one is below:

Oh, and btw, my stats are all maxed out because of my aforementioned skilz. If you don't believe me saying you can get more than one copy of a gene, try it yourself

Ok all I did was keep getting all the cells as fast as I could, that's how you usually win, and using various gene's until you have a very powerful gene mix.
