for me halo3 got old pretty fast but when the new maps came out it was a lot more fun. i really only play custom games

NO. It is not getting old at all. I personally can not wait til Halo 3 ODST and to learn more about Halo Reach.

I think it got old when they came out with Halo 2...
Seriously, it is the same game, just with a few different weapons and storyline. The storyline isn't what most people play that long anyways, it's just the online.
