Why would you even give it to them for a nickel? You could sell it on Ebay for a lot more..

I also forgot to mention how badly they screw you over on trade-ins.
Say you trade in a game and they give you $5 for it. GS will proceed to sell that very game for $25. That's hundreds of percentages of markups. That is where they screw you the most. Also, never buy a used console there. Just trust me.

omg i hate gamestop so bad i bought call of duty 4 fore 30$ and it didi'nt even work. And when i tried to give it back they said they cant cause the store was closeing. so that y me hate it.

i only went to gamestop once to get pokemon firered. no problems but i hant been there since. i get my games from wal-mart, the local fred meyers and the game crazy/blockbuster right next to the fred meyer's

From this, we can clearly make the judgment that you need to shut your mouth and stop being a *******. I'm 16, I'm just fed up with GS BS. And, no, I shouldn't have to ask, especially when I didn't even know of this until just recently. Yeah, did that ever occur to you that maybe some people don't even know that they could offer to do that, let alone know what a shrink wrap is? It's their job to offer me things as the employee. 

Yeah... GameStop employees aren't supposed to offer you stuff. It isn't their job to. If you wanted anything done, you should've asked.

That's most definitely their job. What are you talking about? Every time I go in their they always bother me, OFFERING GameInformer subscriptions and Edge cards. So that excuse is bull. Isn't that what an employee at any store is supposed to do? Offer every service possible?

For the people saying that they don't have GameStops, they have EB Games, I have sad news. GameStop bought EB Games quite a while ago.

They DO gut the games, it's not a lie people. Go read up on it. I didn't make that up. Same thing with the employees being able to rent games, go read up on it.

I'll go drink my soda to calm down which cost 5 cents to make and is sold for one dollar and seventy five cents, or I'll go buy some drumsticks that also have a ridiculous mark up.  That is called normal business practice that nearly every retail uses.

Oh my God...where do I begin. Well, first of all, NOTHING you just said was.....a smart, coherent thought. That is called shady, unfair business practices that every retail uses....but GameStop does even mor shady stuff and they do it worse. Drumsticks with a ridiculous mark up? You make me laugh. Games are way more expensive. You mean to tell me that you'd be perfectly fine with giving GameStop a game for $5 and then have them sell it for nearly $30. Plenty of people say this when trying to defend GameStop, they just don't realize how full of it they are.

Nope, pretty much all of them are accurate.

I've been buying games from game stop since I was 7. Nothing bad has happened to me. I live in National City, California. (USA)

gamestop is **** and this literally happened to me i bought a game and i played i didnt lik it and the next game i went back to return it and they said u cant u have to trade it i was ight fine i trade it a brand new game just came out for 60 bucks they give it back to me for ****in 30 lik **** tht

YEah Gamestop used games suck! had to go through 3 gears of war 2 before I could find one that would still be read unreadabled, but I could install to harddrive. Now today same thing,  i bought Saints Row 2 and seriously, the disk is crap, scratches every where, a huge one on the front and crap in the middle. I cant complete missions, people wont appear! Plus I cant install to harddrive to fix problems! It sucks I just hope I dont have to make like 4 trips to get a good one like last time.
