As a few of you may know, I've formed a band with the_manta. I am a pianist, singer, and an aspiring songwriter. I try write a song just about every month...but in reality the lyrics to my songs only take a couple of hours to write, so i could write more often.
I would like to share the songs i write with AG in hopes that i will be able to get advice, criticism, and new ideas. I hope that your opinions will help me to expand my song writing talents.
Right now, I only have the lyrics to two songs completed. I'll post one now, and post the other sometime later.
This first one was actually the first song i completed. It was about a girl at school that i obviously liked...maybe a little too much. Anyway, here it is.

Hm... I like these songs, but I kinda wanna hear your voice singing them, the song may be good, but the some people are better suited to different songs... (Singing style I mean, You wouldn't have a rapper sing a country song... >_>

yeah, I want to be able to put them somewhere, but I don't have music them yet(I got a job and I'll have a new keyboard to make music in a month or two).
until then, I guess these are just poems with a tune that exists only in my head.
it's been a while, but I have a new one. This is one of those songs that simply comes from the randomness of my heart.

Wow, I know it's been a while, but I want y'all to know that I am(slowly but surely) writing a song. I've been thinking long and hard about it because I really want to impress my new girlfriend with it. Thanks for the patience, I hope to be done with it soon.
Well, inspiration hit today. Though these aren't my best lyrics ever, I have incredible ideas for the instrumentals on this one!

I started this one back in november, then put it away, never to be seen again, until today and i decided to finish it.

So it's been almost half a year since I've written lyrics, but today i just felt inspiration and the result was my strangest song yet. It's loosely inspired by the fact that my girlfriend is on vacation in california for the whole summer and the fact that I just got back from church camp. Can't decide if i like it or not. Oh well, at least it's something :P
