the titan cards seem like nice rewards, but there's just 5 cave trials to go through, and if you can beat those, you can beat the regular game for any of the lords.

Has anyone found a strategic use for titan units that justifies waiting that long spawn time where you can crush a castle at lvl 30 much faster?

I use fire demon for cave4, so that I get 700k a run for upgrading the cards. Other titans or in other maps they are utterly useless.

I gave it a try with the fire demon.  love how it kept the other titans in cave 4 busy, they didn't even touch my army that was methodically shredding the castle.  fire demon + athena card = easy win.  yeah, the other titans are pretty pointless since fire demon can move forward as it attacks.

Shadow Demon sucks?
I thought that was the strongest titan...
Fire demon is too slow though...(but than, all are)

from what I can tell, you basically need at least one titan for cave 4.  Their useless on cave 5, though. :P

If your going to use a titan use the fire, and if your going to upgrade a titan upgrade that one too.

The lord of shadow is a powerhouse but it doesn't have an ability worth mentioning. The most dangerous enemy troops are still the enemy ranged units. If you can backup your titan with close catas (magic cannons) that are good for stopping enemy ranged, it is nearly unstoppable, but the catas also come into range of enemy titan this way. You cannot afford the titan or even that catas dying since they take too long to replace.

A great deal of spells can fullfill the roles of the titans. A building spot for titan is just too much to waste as many units are cheap and effective, ranged units often do more damage compared to the titans.

Well, cave4 doesn't need a titan to clear if you are good at retreats. A fire demon can only speed things up.

Nope, u don't need a Titan.
The best mix is no Magic Cannon or Titan, infact.

Imp / Goblins (They're called Goblins though).
Centaurs.
Underwater Maidens.
Succubi.
Witches.
And you should also use the Dragon Riders.

This gives suitable and rapid defense at the frontlines while you have forces backing them up in a safe position.

You also need effective Powers, including:
Comet.
Pheonix.
Healing Wave.
Lightning.
Hercules Strength.
Athena's Shield.

This allows a constant pinning down onto the enemy along with offensive boosts with strong Ally buffs.
