my school lasts 9:15-3:30
You poor, poor soul. My school day lasts from 7:00 to 4:30. Come talk to me about long hours! Face it; longer school hours would do you some good. It could be able to fit in more classes that you would like or need, even electives!
I have an Indiana state senator for a government teacher in my school (very hilarious isn't it?). Every day before we begin the lesson, he would bring up government in every day life, such as various bills that will be brought up in Indiana and federally; health care reform; gay marriage; purchasing of alcohol; making fun of Governor Mitch Daniels and his advisers, etc, etc.
Our Indiana Senior Education Director wants to raise Indiana's school days higher and longer, taking out Saturdays for rest and moving school to 5:00 PM. He wants to raise the bar for tests, making them much more difficult. You think you have it tough? Indiana's Governor is supporting this, and he wants us to work as tough as the Asians over in Japan, saying that we as students are so lazy in our work, when we have one of the highest high school standards in the U.S.A. !
