Always a nice way to get the work done, huh? Chocolate bars are my treat to myself. Now I just wish it was a treat per 5000 words instead > >....

Nanowidgets are working! ... Now I kinda wish I had a blog or something to show off in my moments of pride.

Now that I've met my required word count and can post on this thread without having to deal with the shame and humiliation of not being up to snuff, I may as well jump into the conversations of the last few pages.

Mean MLs/chatrooms: I wasn't kicked, but god knows I deserved it.

Descry: I find it odd that I've been reading The Lord of the Rings for the last few months and never bothered to look that word up.

Reaching ten thousand: I actually finished a paragraph at 10,005 words, though this number was conspicuously one word less than Kingryan, so stopping then seemed like admitting defeat. I wrote another (short) paragraph.

Prizes: My only prize is not being laughed at by my peers and getting to play some video games. I guess that works because I never really liked candy.

Speculative fiction is a catchall for all fiction that isn't realist, including the broad genre of science fiction. Slipstream fiction is a subgenre of speculative fiction.

That makes sense.

Well actually, no it doesn't. Sort of.

Ahah...now I managed to write 500 words in about 5 hours. Go me!

I feel your pain. I had a party and then after that, battled this persistently runny nose because of hayfever for the next six hours.

I have written 400 words. I'm nervous because the next bit takes a lot of crafting...

Also I'm tired because class is hardcore.

And homework has to come first.

I should basically give up. I only got 1000 more words in an hour long train ride. I have no free time except for that train ride. The funny thing is there was this lady sitting in the row right in front of mine furiously typing non-stop. Dunno what she was writing but the key clacking was virtually incessant. And the guy across from her pulled out a 4x4 Rubik's cube and solved it before we got to the final stop. Yeah, I wasn't writing most of the time. I just thought that was amusing.
