WAIT STOP! Don't be the mod that doesn't read these things, it's not about locked threads-fully. (if you are a mod/admin that is)
Okay, you all know we have locked threads that accumelate, and i though why not delete them? We don't have that many anymore, due to our like every 10 year sweep we have. I know I have already made a thread like this, but I couldn't find it (i think it died). So anyways. If we could delete SOME of the topics (not all of them, just keep the ones that "teach" a lesson). This might save some space for AG aswell as kill some lag.
Tell me what you think of my stupid idea! By the way, i might not comment as much on this one for a while... i have a science project to do. (and even worse my teacher lives in this neighborhood) Unless it's Saturday. No clue.
no, because then peoples posts would get deleted and it would interrupt their monthly point gain causing the leaderboard to crash and create even more lag.

uhhh, the pointless ones? only like 3 people comment on those, then they get locked by a mod. plus it's sort of like saying: hey i'm going to comment on this forum to get 1 point YAY! does that evenmatter? Plus some of the higher people don't even care about points. Like me. me hate point system. And how does that exactly create lag? Or even better, we could make it so everyone that commented keeps there points. that prob. needs to be fixed...
So basically, summing up your OP, you just want all locked threads deleted...
Not exactly, remember what i said? We just delete the pointless ones. (there's only about 5,000 of those right). We could even do it in the forum game section-delete all the remade games.
Pretty good idea, but some locked topics can be quite interesting...
That is very true, but once again delete all of them? No. Plus our mods are intelligent enough to know weither or not to lock or delete a thread.
it would interrupt their monthly point gain causing the leaderboard to crash
Yes
And don't you people like souvenirs?
...No it wouldn't kill their gain. Do they even comment on the pointless threads? Maybe, but that's a really crappy way to get points. They know it's wrong so there points can be killed for all i care. Half of them don't even care about points. There point level would drop a little so what? You can keep some threads. Just not all of them. And yes i like souvineers, just not ones that slow down Earth.
by god this deleting locked thread is the best idea I have ever heard of.
I dont mind the loss of points, but think of the major lag it could create. deleting small threads is one thing, but there are locked threads with over 100 posts, and those are the ones that would do it.
Well the only issue is that the mods would have to go through every thread individually and see if they are useless. It would feel like a waist of time from my point of view. To tell you the truth this has already been suggested many times before. Does that make this a useless thread?
I already delete threads which I consider to be completely useless i.e. every single poster in the thread is either a troll or has contributed to it without saying anything constructive. I will add that usually in these cases the users who post in said threads also get banned.
So this shouldn't be an issue. Locked and dead threads however, can contain content that IS somewhat valuable.
Also I don't see how disrupting the leaderboard causes it to crash. We're deleting posts all the time, people are losing posts all the time and ranks are continuously changing and the site still chugs on same as ever.

Let's see... don't mods already go through the threads occasionally to go: this thread sucks! And such? This takes time, and so will deleting them. If your talking about present-well we could just like delete all the topics past page 50 automatically. That would be so much easier right?
To tell you the truth this has already been suggested many times before.
It has? For one, it isn't on the common suggestion list. And two I have one more thing to say: PROVE IT!
Does that make this a useless thread?
No, not until you have any proof. Besides if a mod comes to lock this thread, they would lock it. They would not however, delete it. And i should not say this, because now a mod will come lock it. Why? But to the point, useless threads should be deleted, not locked.

Yes, i realise some mods do delete them, but not all. I still see many pointless locked threads that can be killed. Also, do we really need those collecting ones on like page 250? No one ever goes there now, they could be deleted.

As, i've said earlier, we don't have to delete all. Just some.

Thank you very much for stating that this would not kill the leader board.
by god this deleting locked thread is the best idea I have ever heard of. DO IT! DO IT NOW!
umm... thanks klaus?

Well, with my very unintelligent mind reffering to the common suggestion list says: Why not have the magical mod/admin button of awesomness that makes it so sometimes it doesn't always kill the points, so people can keep points. But still, i don't see much point loss if you think about it. That's a 100 point thread. Not that much points. Besides i don't think one person singularly commented 100 times on 1 thread. If so, he deseves to lose those points.
