That it does not exist because each Link is a different Link.
Except the Link in OoT and MM, but who cares. I think the time-line for the games would be:
OoT->MM->TP->WW->Phantom Hour Glass
Sorry for putting all acronyms :P. I didn't include Gameboy games and S/NES games because I've never played them.
