From where? Surely the U.S. doesn't steal, or "take" resources from other countries.

It is similar to the way Europe used to be able to r ape the land of pretty much everywhere but Antarctica for resources.  And the Japanese wanted to harvest penguins to make gloves so some people even want to go after there too.
