I don't know about anyone else, but when I was younger I had behavioural issues. My parents took me to several differnt psychiatrists (I don't know how to spell it) and every one of them initially jumped on, "I beleive he has a form of ADHD, or ADD" after my mom told them that we had already ruled it out, they didn't seem surprised and moved right onto bipolar disorder. In any case, out of around 6-7 differnt physicians, they all went to ADHD first. I grew up, I never had ADHD, I was just a child, immature like many others, I didn't want to wait, I didn't think what others said was important. I want your opinion on whether ADHD is actually a disorder or just a person who is bored and/or easily bored.

Bored? Probably not. Being 'bored' more or less constitutes lack of activity, not behavioral problems. ADHD isn't behavioral, and if you're psychiatrists were saying that because you like to act like a fool, they probably aren't very good psychiatrists.
ADHD is an attention disorder. What it does is make you unable to concentrate very well, and therefore unable to do well in school, which is the whole point of the disorder. When that happens, you do act out, but that's only because your brain isn't focusing on what it needs to do. Basically, behavior is an indirect cause, and doesn't even happen in most of the children and adults that have it. If you have a decent amount of maturity, you can handle it.
P.S.: It affects only 5% of boys, so when your doctor just jumps on a relatively rare disorder, they probably aren't a very good doctor :P

No, ADHD isn't when you act like a fool, it's where you don't pay attention and you are constatnly moving. I would get bored in school and start making things out of paper or using a rule and pencils and make little arches and throwing my pencil up and catching it and what not. Where did you get the it only affect 5% of boys? I've always heard from both doctors and other people that boys are diagnosed with it far more often.

I knew that part.
I just misinterpreted your little paragraph, obviously. I thought you were saying that because you had behavioral issues, you went to a psychiatrist. Sorry.
5% of boys, 2% of girls.
So when they just jump on it, it's not exactly a very good diagnosis.
And I had the same problem, 'cept they realized I didn't have it when the Ritalin made me really aggressive and didn't help.
So
ADHD is a disorder that is overdiagnosed.
There's your answer :)
Is pretty much the problem.

none. HAHA. But yeah, it's a disorder. When you really can't concentrate in a not normal way and when you have a short attention span.

Not sure if I interpreted that, but a lot of people have short attention spans. Just a personality trait, unless you have AD(H)D. Then it can be a problem.
