The average person who does not download music spends £44 ($72) a year on CD's, while people who do pirate music spend about £77 ($126) a year on CD's.

If this is the case, should companies support file-sharing?  I think so.  It's like movie studios who put their videos in tape stores or on TV, or artists who put their music on the radio.  If you let people sample a product, they are more likely to buy it in the future.

which is why we do music sharing. my friends and I split the songs on an album then after we download every single one we give the songs to each other and therefore we would get the entire album by only paying 99 cents

This is very interesting.

Im not sure if companies supporting it will be good for their business, but this is really something.

The flaw is that most people have Ipods now. They don't buy CD's

Well, with LimeWire, a good virus protection system and a 120GB I-pod classic, I don't need CD's

That would be the money you have to pay if you get caught.

ordering him to pay $22,500 per song, for a total of $675,00.
