you gotta be a man and show this girl whos boss.

That would most likely lead to getting b**** slapped.

I was friends with my gf for a while before we started dating. Feeling a bit strange about dating a friend is pretty normal regardless of gender. We both promised that if the dating relationship didn't work out that we would still remain friends. Reassuring her of this might help in your case.

If you are friends with a girl and you want to ask her out, well, dont. 9 times out of 10 you destroy a perfectly good friendly relationship. So just dont. Relationships always work out better if you flirt from the beginning and you are less than bf/gf and more than just friends. Thats my advice.

Girls are too emotionally unstable, you'd be better off with internet porn.

Yeah, because nothing says maturity like taking your right hand out on a date.

The best thing to do is be compassionate. Try to understand what she's thinking. Who knows? She might come around and figure out she's actually in love with you. Just be cool and don't be too obsessive over her. If it's not meant to be, it's not meant to be.

We are all entitled to our opinion, and I just want to say I do not entirely agree with this.  Asking a friend out will change your relationship, but that is not always a bad thing.  Many good serious relationships start with friendships.  I personally believe that one cannot have a good long lasting relationship without the element of friendship existing.  It is a gamble as she may not be interested in dating you, but don't just avoid asking her out just because you are friends.  You could be missing out on something even better!!

Trayzrulz is right. It's better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all. You might as well give it a shot, eh? The *worst thing that she can say is no.

*Well, a few exceptions, but you catch my drift.
