First of all, everyone has to love you.

You have to have at LEAST 50 friends on your list that you talk to often.

Second, you need luck. The Wheel of Moderation has a very slim chance of landing on your name.

Thirdly, you need agility and endurance. SHOULD you get selected, you need to go through a difficult trial that leads to the room where you got modded.

Also, don't get banned. Or be immature. And have plenty of posts, activity, generally try to not have poor grammar, it usually helps to have plenty of merits, although that's increasingly hard with the higher merit standards, try to help your community out as much as possible, and never, EVER feed the trolls.

For example, if you just asked "what troll," you're doing it right.

Basically, don't be me, who has one merit, occasionally feeds the troll (ACCIDENTS! I WAS YOUNG!), and be mature about stuff.

There are tons of ghost mod accounts.

Just remember OrigamiDude, it helps to stand out, the good way of course. Fill the forums with your name, follow it up with strong, powerful posts. Let the staff and all who see you know that you would be a strong candidate for moderatorship :)

The admins rig the wheel so that the users they choose become moderators! That has been their secret all along =0! Some users cover 30% of the wheel and some user's don't even get a hair's width of space on the wheel. If anybody asks, I didn't say anything.
