I've spent a lot of time listening to them again, especially their newer stuff, and I must say that I'm thoroughly impressed. I'm going to have to throw in my vote for Mastodon

Greatest Groove Metal band to grace the Earth. I'd just like to add a few more example songs, if I may? :) 5 Minutes Alone The Art of Shredding This Love And on the side, I'd like to present Evile's cover of Cemetery Gates.

While Iron Maiden manages to sneak one in from time to time. Plus they have Eddie. Who doesn't love a band with a mascot?!? lol. My vote: Iron Maiden.
