What program should i use to make my own art,I use paint but it sucks anyone got any good ones?

I also use art, but I just copy and paste pictures from photobucket, and edit them a little bit. And I add words and stuff in the background. I heard photoshop is really good, if you're not into paint.

Photoshop and Painter are the leading 2D art programs. If your looking for painting, Painter is for you, but if you want to do anything, get Photoshop.

If you're too cheap to use PhotoShop, you can download the GIMP for free. It's a PhotoShop equivalent, but I think it's relatively weak in terms of vectors.

I also use OpenCanvase, but since the Ver 1.3+ releases aren't free, I stick with Ver 1.1. Best operated with a tablet, but mouse will do.
