So I know there's was already a thread about this but I stopped looking for it after 5 pages...
But anyways, this will hopefully be the official Black Ops thread. Talk about it, discuss it, etc. Obviously, the game isn't out yet, but w/e. (That was a ****load of commas)

1) You only get two perks in mutliplayer, and this combination of perks determines your third perk. 2) There is a new armour system, e.g. Cold-Blooded and juggernaut are armours you can wear (not much detail given on this). 3) The FAMAS returns, but is no longer a 3-round burst weapon. Instead it is full-auto. 4) There is no M4. Instead another new gun mentioned seems like it will take its place, the SIG Commando. 5) Other new weapons confirmed include the RPK, Skorpion and MAC11. 6) There is no commando perk. (:]) 7) The scavenger perk is included, but no longer replenishes equipment. 8) The One man army perk is also not included. 9) The highest killstreak reward (at this time in devlelopment) is 15. 10) There is no emergency airdrop, but there is a care package. 11) As confirmed before, killstreaks will not stack. For instance, if you get a 5 kills without dying and receive your killstreak reward, the kills you get with that killstreak reward will not count towards your next killsreak (e.g. 7 kill killsteak). You will have to get two more kills, in that instance, by other means to receive your next killstreak. 12) You can sprint to prone in the current build of the game. Basically this means you can dive straight on your belly after sprinting, instead of having to stop, crouch and than go prone. 13) The tactical knife is gone, while a new knife is being introduced: the ballistic knife. This is a knife that has a spring that can shoot a blade (in real life, not necessarily in the game). 14) The claymore is a piece of equipment, and you only get 1 per life. 15) Grenades are not considered equipment, and replenished by scavenger. 16) The M16 is in the game, and still a powerful weapon. (Or as Woody puts it, still the ****!) 17) The PSG1 sniper rifle is in the game. 18) UAV, airstrike and 3 types of helicopters are back as killstreaks. The Pave Low is confirmed as well, and has a feature unique to the game. 19) The SR-71 plane is also one of the killstreak rewards.
The M16 is in the game, and still a powerful weapon. (Or as Woody puts it, still the ****!)
That's it. I'm not getting Black Ops. Why doesn't a company just ****ing LEARN and take that overpowered piece of shit OUT of the games?! It was incredibly powerful in CoD4, and in Mw2 it was a lot worse IMO. I swear, Treyarch is going to screw up just because they have the M16 in their game. At least the MP40 was automatic and didn't have a fast fire rate (unless there was double tap). PLEASE Treyarch, Don't put that overpowered gun in the game.
On another note, they need to have a Sleight of Hand Pro kind of perk because it isn't game-breaking, and quick-scoping in Mw2 is actually fun.
I AGREE about quickscoping it makes snipers decent at mid range and i also agree about the over powered guns i like the sound of black ops but it doesnt look that good
its going to be way to futuristic and i doubt it will be THAT good i tink its= will be extermely over rated o and to change topics a bit super mario galaxy 2 got a 10/10 and CoD MW2 got 9.5/10 :P

When I first heard about the new Call Of Duty (because that's what it was called before they came up with the name Black Ops) I almost sh*t myself because it was March, and I was done with Mw2 and its brokenness. Now that I hear about the things being in Black Ops, it's starting to not sound like a real Call of Duty game. Sure Mw2 is the worst game ever, but it did have that element in it that made it like a real Call of Duty game (Create a Class, knife with R3 and that kind of stuff). Black Ops might transform the Call of Duty franchise and make it more like a Battlefield kind of game.
what i have heard is that you play as a soldier in the cold war. A new weapon in the game i have heard of is a crossbow. you will also get to pilot an attack chopper in the campaign. caint wait till i get my hands on it.
E3 trailer was a disappoint :9 It was basically the same footage is the previous but in a different order...
Gameplay was ...interesting. You start off walking through a grimy sewer, you get ambushed, the it cuts out into a different scene. Here, you control what looks like an auto-famas and hijack an Apache helicopter (as seen in trailer) The you fly around and blow sh** up for a bit. Not as much gun combat as I wanted, but w/e.

Overall sounds like there getting rid of some bad things, and adding some things that will make the game bad.

Ok, maybe I was exaggerating, but it is a terrible game, and not because I suck. I'm a sick sniper (not hard-scoping though, that's for noobs) and do pretty good with assault rifles, which take no skill to use. I'm not even lying about the fact that I'm a good sniper. I consider myself good.
There's so many flaws with the game, including the fact that the snipers are so underpowered that it's like a sponge absorbing the little amount of fun left in the game.

haha, i think you may be right... >.< lol anyways, idk if im gonna get it, it looks cool and stuff, yea, but... we, (meaning me and my cousin) just got MW2, like, 4 months ago, and we will pay for ANOTHER CoD game? Dont count on it... Thats a lot of money when i cant get a job, and he works for his dad.
I looked at a website once and I'm pretty positive that they are going to make camping NOT allowed. I don't know how, but i guess they are. A lot of people also want attack dogs and a killstreak reward. Maybe you should check some of this stuff out.
