Cheers Kuro, you gfave him some advice that i didn't think of :) Techno i think another reason why you're struggling is because Vera missed some xp when fighting Clemons. I'm guessing he would be level 21 if you had kept him in it; therefore letting you use Law Binder and the shop equipment. I feel for you though, just keep trying and you will eventually pull through. Also did you try my other strategy that i put on page 3?

Where I attack the Hound instead of the Specialist first? Yeah I did. At the time though I hadn't put on the physical defense and Vitality-boosting items yet, so I was still going down quickly. And yeah, I agree about losing some XP for Vera when I tried for the Black Magic achievement (I wasn't even thinking about that too much at the time). Definitely a flaw in the 1V1 strategy there, especially if on a Legend run, where you need every bit of XP you can squeeze out of your enemies. The Hounds are definitely a bit hardier than the Specialist, as they take less damage from my attacks than the Specialist. But yeah, I just need to keep trying until I finally get it, no matter how daunting the task seems.

Here's a revised list of equips and stats for the party:

Sonny:

Headwear: Mining Helmet
Gloves: Titanium Grips
Secondary: Riot Shield
Primary: Frozen Runeblade
Bodywear: Flamboyant Shirt
Leggings: Riot Leggings
Footwear: Titanium Runners

Vitality: 243
Strength: 85
Instinct: 177
Speed: 89

Phys. Defense: Lv.3 (606)

Veradux

Headwear: Mining Helmet
Gloves: Spark Gloves (which should probably be replaced in favor of something with greater Vitality)
Secondary: Lavastone Barrier
Primary: Frozen Runeblade
Bodywear: Rocker's Crest
Leggings: Acidic Leggings
Footwear: Bone Shredders

Vitality: 151
Strength: 118
Instinct: 128
Speed: 85

Phys. Defense: Lv.3 (639)

Felicity

Head: Mining Helmet
Gloves: Royal Grips
Secondary: None (Ran out of cash before I could buy a Riot Shield and other weapon)
Primary/Two Hand: Emerald Death (see secondary)
Bodywear: Riot Armor
Leggings: Colonel's Leggings
Footwear: Palace Greaves

Vitality: 207
Strength: 371
Instinct: 62
Speed: 106

Phys. Defense: Lv. 3 (570)

Before you said that you put some of your xp points into Vitality, theres so need. Just dump it all into Instinct as tbh you and Felicity have way too much Vitality. Try and get Felicitys Str over 400 and her Vitality to 160, Sonnys Vitality to 160 and highest Instince possible, your instinct is way too low mine had around 350 Instinct. Finally Vera is good.

I finally won. Took out the hounds first, kept Vera alive even through Black metal, and then struck down the Specialist. Vera has finally leveled up to 21, and I can move on to the Legend Achievement. I thank everybody who gave advice for that advice. My instinct was lower because I had to unequip some items to increase Vitality. Now that I finally won that fight I can re-equip Law Binder to regain some Instinct, maybe re-equip Shandor's Darkstaff on Vera to regain instinct there as well (If I had the cash I'd buy a second Law Binder for Vera, but I only have $514 at the moment).

Regarding Opalo, I suppose theoretically you could just fire away at the Captain until his HP reaches 250, the point at which Roald strongly advises the party retreat, but in practice the Sniper and Medic both get in your way of doing this easily, especially if Hunt casts Marked For Death (which has 50% dispel resistance and generally doesn't get cast until the shield buffs wear off) or his own shield buff. So I think it would still be best if you took out the Sniper and Medic first to make it easier. The fight will be longer, yes, but you'll be more likely to survive once the shields drop.

Heh thx, I solved this by leaving both on relentless, killed the sniper with a few lucky crits, roald helped me with his pyro blast stun, and sniper went down b4 shield ended, freeze comboed medic, but hunt casted that shield thingy... so another 8 turns wasted, but finally killed him... thank you everyone.

Got the Legend Achievement, and am now training the party before heading to Zone 6. Sonny, Vera, and Roald are now maxed, just working on Felicity.

You shouldn't have much problem with Zone 6, Zone 7 is harder though.

I actually think both zone 6 and 7 is rather easy compared to some of the tough fights in previous zones. Zone 6 is pretty much a joke except the time bomb, which I advice you re-spec and switch to hot-blooded to get the doomsday achievement if you haven't already, you can always re-spec back afterward. Beating it with a cold hydro is really painful, the only thing cold hydro lacks is raw damage output, but hot hydro is terrific for that. What a wondrous class hydraulics truly is!
For the ultimate gear for cold hydro, I think it's the cryptic set in the store of zone 7 since it gives the most instinct among all the equipments in the game. I gear up veradux with the equipments from the first boss in zone 7, it's quite decent, but to be honest it's not the best since it also focuses on strength which Vera don't really need because you don't count on him to do damage but I just like how cool it looks. I geared up Roald with the equipments from the fire lord boss whose name I forgot, I think it's quite the ultimate gear for him and it looks awesome.
